Occupational Qualifications

When it comes to your future, make sure you drive your success. Enrol for the new Occupational Qualifications at the AA Training Centre today and accelerate your career in the motor-related industry:

Automotive Motor Mechanic
Diesel Fitter
Diesel Mechanic
Transportation Electrician: specialising as Automotive Electrician

Entry Requirements:

Minimum 16 years old with a Grade 9 and an additional Foundational Learning Competence (FLC)

Matric (Grade 10) with mathematics of 50% and above pass mark and 2nd language would be preferred and negate the FLC requirement

FLC provides learners with the minimum levels of competency they require in the two key areas of Mathematical Literacy and Communication. This enables them to deal successfully with occupational learning at OCC levels 2 to 4, and removes barriers to learning, and ensures progress in their occupational careers and further development of skills

Programme structure:

Complete 3 levels (12 months per level)

6 to 8 weeks of institutional training (depending on the trade and level)

Phase test after each occupational level

After Occupational level 4, a final (like a trade test) External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA)
