The AA Training Centre addresses our industry’s skill shortage by offering the following MerSETA accredited (accreditation as a service provider was awarded to the AA Training Centre on the 21st June 2006) apprenticeships. The AA Training Centre has also been accredited by QCTO.

  • Automotive Electrician.
  • Diesel Mechanic.
  • Diesel fitter*
  • Diesel Fuel Injection Technician*
  • Motor Mechanic

* Trades offered in Johannesburg only

Accreditation as a decentralised trade testing centre was awarded to the AA Technical College on the 9th March 2007, for the trades of:

  • Automotive Electrician.
  • Diesel Mechanic.
  • Motor Mechanic.

This enables the College to offer a total training solution to our clients.

Though the apprenticeship programme forms the core of our College, we also offer:

  • General vehicle-related courses to the public.
  • Specialised soft skill courses.
  • Technical short courses for artisans who want to keep abreast of new technologies and up-skill themselves.

Facilities and Campus Location

We currently have one accredited training facility, which can accommodate a maximum of 100 learners per day across our service offering.

Mixed outlook for fuel prices in January – AA

South African motorists can expect a mixed bag of fuel price adjustments in December. The Automobile Association (AA) says current unaudited data from the Central Energy Fund (CEF) indicate a slight reduction in petrol prices, and more substantial increases to diesel and illuminating paraffin prices.
