M & I Motors in Kuruman

The Automobile Association (AA) launched an innovative service with independent vehicle dealerships and AA Approved workshops across the country to provide consumers with credible information on pre-owned vehicles they intend purchasing. Through the service, dealerships can offer an AA 125-point inspection of vehicles and thereby provide a comprehensive report on the vehicle to prospective buyers.

Consumers across South Africa will be able to access this service at all dealerships that display the AA Certified Pre-Owned branding.

M & I Motors in Kuruman has joined the fast-growing list of dealerships that are partnering with the AA around the country to offer this service to its customers. It’s important for M & I motors to ensure that they maintain the confidence in the quality of vehicles that they sell to maintain their customers satisfaction.

“In developing this product and service, the AA along with our brand partner AA Warranties, recognised that we can offer support to independent dealerships while providing the motoring public a valuable and credible service that enhances the selling and purchasing experience,” says Willem Groenewald, AA CEO.

Critically, the inspection process does not offer a “pass” or “fail” assessment of a vehicle. Instead, it provides a report which states the “facts” of the vehicle at the time of assessment.

“Our clients will also be assured that when buying from us they will have great value in the AA warranties that will be sold to them. The benefits of the AA warranties are exceptional and there is no doubt that clients will enjoy the benefits,” says the dealer owner Mike Pieterse, “We look forward to be associated with the AA Warranties and the AA brand overall.”

The AA is engaging with independent dealerships across the country regarding the AA Certified Pre-Owned accreditation. The intention is to have a minimum of 150 dealerships in South Africa offering the service in the next two years.

Blue Light behaviour a shameful blight on SA roads

The presence of Blue Light Brigades appears to be increasing with these high-speed motorcades now an almost daily occurrence on Gauteng highways. The Automobile Association (AA) says Blue Light Brigades pose a threat to road users, particularly as drivers in the vehicles transporting politicians and behave aggressively towards other motorists. “The vicious assault on three drivers on the N1 highway in Fourways, Johannesburg in 2023 is a good example of how ‘protection officers’ in the...

Fuel good times set to end in November

The five-month trend of fuel decreases is set to end in November according to the Automobile Association (AA). Commenting on unaudited data from the Central Energy Fund (CEF), the AA says it expects the first fuel price increase since May in November as a result of higher international product prices and a steady softening of the Rand against the US Dollar.   According to the CEF’s figures, ULP95 is expected to be slightly higher by around 14 cents a litre, while ULP93 is set for an...
